The following is a breakdown of guitar methods used at DF Music Studio. Prior to your first lesson you will inform us of the style of music you
would like to learn. Based on this information and taking into account your previous musical experience/ability your guitar method will be chosen.
Please note, as you progress you will be encouraged to advance into more difficult methods of study. At DF Music Studio it has always been
our objective to ensure that all students learn at the highest level they are capable of playing. If your chosen method is not challenging enough
you will be advanced into a more suitable method. Conversely if your chosen method is too difficult for you to handle at the time, we will either
reduce the amount of homework, or move you into a less difficult method. Keep in mind that any method you are in will provide all of the technical
and theoretical information you will need to learn your instrument. Your progress is entirely self determined, your practice habits will reflect your
abilities.

In addition, all guitar programs are designed to suit the needs and preferences of the individual student. Additional guitar material aside from the
method books is introduced regularly, and students are encouraged to request songs that they are interested in learning or to bring the music/tab
of their choice to the lessons if they need assistance learning a particular song, technique, scale or chord progression.

Aaron Shearer Classic Guitar Technique Volume I
One of the most popular classical guitar methods ever written.A basic and orderly presentation of the
necessary information and exercises essential to beginning guitar instruction.
Aaron Shearer Classic Guitar Technique Volume II
Volume 1 of CLASSIC GUITAR TECHNIQUE presented a systematic approach for gradual musical and
technical development toward mastery of this noble instrument. No effort has been spared in study,
research, and experiment to continue the same approach in Volume 2. The full value of these works will
be grasped only by those students who are willing to contribute a similar effort on their own part, both in
a sympathetic approach to the contents of the books, and a constant evaluation of personal problems
which a text by its very nature is unable to consider. This text should be used with its supplements to
coordinate a program of study that will comply with the requirements of the individual student.
